Rigged up a ripped model of Lara Croft in Maya for practice. I’m way not good at 3D stuff yet, so the rig is crude and a little buggy. I managed to rig up a dynamic ponytail, though, so that’s good.
I’ve got to say, discrete mesh rigs are much easier than skinned rigs. It’s like posing a little puppet. Skinned rigs have vertex issues and all of that, and uuaaaaagh.
I am so glad I’m starting out with this stuff.
